Jonathan Jackson attends after-school disability sports session at Hope School.

Wigan Athletic Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson visited Hope School last month, joining in with an after-school disability sports session provided by Wigan Athletic Community Trust.

The Community Trust provide multiple disability sports sessions throughout the year, including disability football and multi-skills sessions for ages 12+ as well as disability coaching in Special Educational Needs schools in the Wigan Area.

Jonathan said: “It was brilliant to see the sports opportunities that the Community Trust are providing for young people around Wigan who are living with disabilities.

“This specialist teaching area can be very challenging but the power of football means that the youngsters were enjoying and developing their skills and co-ordination in a safe environment with dedicated Wigan Athletic coaches.”
