Latics stars join in the fun at Standish Easter football camp.

After his return from injury to the team in last weekend’s 5-1 win away at Shrewsbury Town, Michael Jacobs was joined by Ryan Colclough at Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s Easter Holiday Soccer School in Standish on Tuesday.

The players joined the 30 youngsters at Standish High School, helping them to practice passing and shooting skills before taking each other on in a kick-up competition.

The Soccer School split 50-50 over who they thought would win the competition, but it was Ryan who managed to keep the kick-ups going for the longest time.

Michael said: “It’s been good to come and see the kids, there were a lot of Latics fans in there and it’s a great way for them to spend their school holidays, joining in with lots of football.”

Ryan added: “There were a lot of good young players taking part in the Soccer School; it’s a great place for them to come and learn and it was good for us to join in where it all starts for them.”
