Gary to wear the ‘Star of Hope’ badge in support of bowel cancer awareness.

Latics manager Gary Caldwell will wear the ‘Star of Hope’ badge on the touchline during tomorrow’s Sky Bet League One match between Wigan Athletic and Coventry City in support of bowel cancer awareness campaign Know The Score, which runs between April 9 and 19.

He said: “I’ll be wearing the Star of Hope so I can help to draw attention to the Know The Score bowel cancer campaign.

“Along with other league managers we will be supporting the campaign to raise awareness about bowel cancer, which can affect men and women of all ages.  The more people are aware of the symptoms, the more lives can ultimately be saved.”

Latics' vice-captain Jason Pearce also showed his support for the campaign at the club's Christopher Park training ground earlier this week!
