Jordan Flores surprises PE lesson at his old Primary School, Our Lady’s, Aspull.
Jordan Flores went back to school earlier this week, surprising 6 and 7 year olds at his old Primary School, Our Lady’s, Aspull.
Jordan joined in a PE lesson with the class, helping them to practice and improve their basic football dribbling and tackling skills.
Jordan said: “It’s been about ten years since I was here, it’s changed a bit but it’s great to be back and I’ve enjoyed seeing some of the teachers that used to teach me.
“My mum’s worked at the school since I was here and the lesson today was with her class – they were all asking if I was Mrs Flores’ son, I think that’s more a celebrity status than being a footballer to them!
“It’s good to come in and give the school something back, the kid’s enjoyed themselves and I really did too.”
The PE lesson was part of Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s Premier League School Sports programme, which provides PE lessons and After-School Sports sessions in 72 Primary Schools across Wigan every week.
Jordan added: “The Community Trust do a great job, every one of the sessions that they put on are very good. Learning the basic skills in sessions like this gives them a great platform for the future if they want to continue playing football.”
