Robles, Whitehead, Huws and Mckay involved in recent fixtures.
- Robles helps to assist in Gloucester's comeback to draw 3-3.
- Mckay creates weekend winner for Dundee United, but suffers midweek defeat.
- Whitehead shines in Macclesfield's convincing weekend win.
LOUIS ROBLES - GLOUCESTER CITY
Gainsborough Trinity looked to have all three points wrapped up at home to Louis Robles' Gloucester City on Saturday, but the Tigers sparked a comeback from 3-1 down in the second half, with the striker playing a big part in their second goal of the game.
Robles received a whipped cross from the left, turning the ball towards goal at the second attempt to beat the goalkeeper, for Luke Hopper to turn the ball in on the line. Hopper went on to score again in the final moments to secure a dramatic point, leaving Gloucester 15th in the National League North, five points clear of the relegation zone on 44 points.
BILLY McKAY - DUNDEE UNITED
It's been a mixed couple of matches for Billy Mckay and Dundee United, strengthening their battle to avoid relegation from the Scottish Premiership on Saturday with a 1-0 away win at St. Johnstone, before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.
Mckay created United's winner at the weekend, featuring for 62 minutes, with a 90 minute appearance in the defeat, leaving his side bottom of the division on 24 points, just five behind 11th place Kilmarnock in the relegation play-off spot.
DANNY WHITEHEAD - MACCLESFIELD TOWN
Midfielder Danny Whitehead put in an impressive display for a standout Macclesfield Town side on Saturday afternoon, as the Silkmen brushed aside play-off chasers Braintree Town 3-1 at the Moss Rose.
Whitehead featured for the full 90 minutes, with the victory leaving Macclesfield 10th in the National League on 60 points, just nine points behind the final play-off place with one game in hand.
EMYR HUWS - HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
Our final participant in the weekend and midweek action as Emyr Huws, who featured for the full 90 minutes in Huddersfield Town's 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, but wasn't involved in their 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Back-to-back defeats in a short space of time have left the Terriers 18th in the Sky Bet Championship just eight points ahead of MK Dons in 22nd.
ANDREW TAYLOR - READING
Sticking with our players in the Championship, defender Andrew Taylor was an unused substitute in back-to-back wins for Reading, as they defeated Bolton Wanderers 1-0 on Saturday, before a 2-1 victory at home to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
Although the Royals' season is likely to finish around mid-table, they're in impressive form at the same time and now sit 13th on 51 points.
DANNY O'BRIEN - CHESTER
Danny O'Brien was an unused substitute in Chester's 2-2 draw at home to Boreham Wood on Saturday, and wasn't involved in their 2-0 away defeat to Torquay United on Tuesday, although he did star in Latics' 2-2 Development Squad draw with Bradford City earlier in the day, helping in the build up to both goals.
Chester currently sit 17th in the National League on 45 points, now only four clear of the relegation zone.
DAN LAVERCOMBE - TORQUAY UNITED
Sticking with the National League survival fight, we turn our attentions towards Torquay United's incredible rise from certain relegation to 18th place, three points above 21st place Boreham Wood and with a game in hand, after they recorded back-to-back victories over Gateshead (2-1) and Chester (2-0).
Unfortunately for goalkeeper Dan Lavercombe, his injury has seen him miss a large spell of matches, but his loan club have continued their fine form and now look more than likely to remain a National League club next season.
RYAN JENNINGS - GRIMSBY TOWN
It was a big opportunity missed on Friday night for Grimsby Town as they lost 3-1 away to Cheltenham Town, with the hosts extending the gap between themselves and the Mariners who sit third in the National League.
Grimsby picked up again on Tuesday night though, to defeat Aldershot Town 4-3, strengthening their play-off place as they now lead sixth place Braintree by seven points. Ryan Jennings was not involved in either of their fixtures.
SAM COSGROVE - NANTWICH TOWN
Striker Sam Cosgrove wasn't involved in the match day squad for either of Nantwich Town's draw over the past few days, with the Dabbers finishing 1-1 away at Mickeover Sports, and 3-3 at home to Rushall Olympic.
