22 April 2016

Donervon Daniels and Yanic Wildschut feature in Saturday’s programme for our game with the Shrimpers.

  • Donervon Daniels: “As players, we live for these games.
  • ”Young defender discusses Latics’ support, his development and his respect for his captain Craig Morgan in Saturday’s programme.
  • Packed with exclusive content you can pick up your official matchday programme for just £3.
Donervon Daniels is the feature interview for Saturday’s official matchday programme as Southend United visit the DW Stadium.

We find out more about how the former West Bromwich Albion youngster has enjoyed his development in Wigan and where he feels his game has improved most.

Daniels’ good friend Yanic Wildschut takes part in ‘One to Eleven’ and selects a side from players he has played with throughout his career to date.

Elsewhere in the programme, Gary Caldwell, Craig Morgan and Jonathan Jackson provide their regular contributions whilst we also go in depth on our opponents Southend United and profile their season to date, their players and where the players from both squads have crossed paths previously in their careers.

You can find out all about the club’s academy and development squad as they both enter crucial stages of the season whilst we also profile our new scholars for next season.

Our historical content sees BBC Radio Manchester’s Paul Rowley look back at our history with the Shrimpers whilst Jeff Rourke reflects on previous matches we have played on 23rd April.

Equally, Ed Jones digs into the Wigan Observer’s archives to find a classic image from a previous match with Southend whilst we also profile our first-ever promotion as a Football League side when we won the 1981-82 Fourth Division.

There is fun for the juniors in the Team Latics section and we also launch our new ‘Together’ programme with further details of how supporters can help our progress in equality and diversity.

All of this and more is available for just £3 from outside the DW Stadium or online by clicking here.
