  • Morgan, Morsy, Power, Perkins, Wildschut and Grigg make elite group.
  • Top 15 voted for by League One managers.

Wigan Athletic have been well represented in Sky Bet League One's Top 15 Players of 2015-16, with six players included in the countdown announced on the Football League's official Twitter account this afternoon, including Craig Morgan, Sam Morsy, Max Power, David Perkins, Yanic Wildschut and Will Grigg.

Latics made up a large proportion of the players named on the League One list, the most included from any single club across all three divisions.

Here's a run-through of how our players ranked on the list.

Latics' captain was the first to appear on the list, adding a place in the top 15 to his Football League Football Manager Team of the Year position announced at Sunday's Football League awards.

Morgan has featured 30 times so far in Sky Bet League One for Latics, contributing to 16 clean sheets, as well as two crucial goals in the continuing promotion push, scoring a last minute equaliser in the 2-2 draw away at Bury, before grabbing the late winner in our 3-2 comeback against Gillingham at the DW Stadium.

The midfielder has played 40 times in Sky Bet League One this season, featuring 26 times and scoring four goals for Chesterfield before arriving at the DW Stadium in January.

Since joining the club, Morsy has played 14 times, scoring a fine goal in the 4-1 victory away at Swindon Town.

The 24-year-old has helped Latics to nine victories in his 14 appearances, losing just once.

Since arriving from Tranmere Rovers in the summer, Power has taken command in midfield alongside David Perkins and (from January) Morsy, featuring 41 times so far.

The PFA Fans' League One Player of the Month for January has scored six goals for the club so far, including some stunning strikes against Oldham Athletic, Peterborough United, Chesterfield and Swindon Town.

Power has also played a big part in the creation of goals, assisting eight.

Quickly gathering a reputation for his endless engine, Perkins has played 42 times in Sky Bet League One for Latics, missing just one game so far due to a suspension against Burton Albion.

The 33-year-old, who joined on a free transfer from Blackpool in the summer, has also contributed with four assists, but is yet to score in a Latics shirt.

Wildschut burst onto the scene with his wonder goal at Crewe Alexandra in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy earlier this season, and since then he's won the hearts of Latics supporters with his raw pace and power.

The winger joined the club on loan from Middlesbrough in 2015, featuring 13 times in Sky Bet League One and scoring twice, before making that move a permanent one in January.

Since then the 24-year-old has featured 18 more times, scoring three goals, including his dramatic late winner at Walsall, and contributing to 11 assists in total.

Latics' leading goal scorer with 24 in all competitions, Grigg has netted 21 times in Sky Bet League One making him the current second top scorer in the division behind Swindon Town's Nicky Ajose.

Already one above last season's tally, the PFA Fans' League One Player of the Month for Marc has his sights set on more goals in the final three matches of the season as he aims to boost his chances of a place in his country's European Championship squad.

The 24-year-old Northern Ireland international joined Latics in the summer from Brentford after a superb promotion season with MK Dons in 2014-15 which saw him scored 20 goals.
