Over 800 Latics supporters are set to make the second away trip of the season as Wigan Athletic travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday 20 August for a 3.00pm kick off in the Sky Bet Championship.

Here are some useful tips and essential information ahead of Saturday's trip to the City Ground, provided by nottinghamforest.co.uk

TICKETS



Supporters can still make it to Saturday's match with tickets on sale from the DW Stadium Ticket Office until 4.00pm on Friday 19 August, as well as a CASH ONLYpay on the day facility available at the visitors' ticket office behind the Brian Clough Stand

Bridgford Stand Lower Tier (reserved seating behind the goal)

Adults - £24.00 (£26.00 on the day)
Over 65 years - £17.00 (£19.00 on the day)
Under 18 years - £12.00
Under 12 years - £10.00
Ambulant/Disabled - Same as relevant age (includes free carer if eligible)

TRAVEL BY ROAD - Postcode NG2 5FJ

From the North:


- Leave the M1 at junction 26 and follow signs for Nottingham via the A610 Nuthall Road until you meet the A6514 at Western Boulevard.
- Turn right and follow the A6514 ('the ring road south')
- Carry straight on at the next roundabout ('the Crown Island') and join Middleton Boulevard
- Stay on Middleton Boulevard, which becomes Clifton Boulevard after the Queens Medical Centre.
- Turn right for Riverside P&R if you are heading for the Embankment, or Riverside Way Park & Ride, and follow signs for Matchday Parking.
- Continue around the ring road, carrying straight on at the Nottingham Knight Island and the Wheatcroft Island until you reach the Gamston Island.
- Take the first exit left onto the A6011 ('Radcliffe Road')
- Continue along the A6011 following the road as it bends to the right and continue over Lady Bay Bridge.
- Follow local signs for matchday parking.

From the South:

- Leave the M1 at Junction 24 and follow the signs to join the A453 towards Nottingham
- After passing through Clifton, continue on the A453 following signs for football and cricket traffic)
- Join the A52 eastbound towards Grantham and carry straight on at the Nottingham Knight Island and the Wheatcroft Island until you reach the Gamston Island.
- Take the first exit onto the A6011 ('Radcliffe Road')
- Continue along the A6011 following the road as it bends to the right and continue over Lady Bay Bridge.
- Follow local signs for matchday parking.

From the East:


- Arrive at the 'Saxondale Island' near Bingham from the A46 or A52 and follow the signposts to join the A52 towards Radcliffe-on-Trent and Nottingham.
- Follow the A52 through Radcliffe and continue until you reach the next roundabout ('the Gamston Island')then take the 2nd exit onto the A6011.
- Continue along the A6011 following the road as it bends to the right and continue over Lady Bay Bridge.
- Follow local signs for matchday parking.

From the West:

- From the A/M42 follow signs for Nottingham (avoiding the M1)
- From the A50 follow signs for Nottingham South
- Upon reaching the large roundabout (junction 24 of the M1), take the 2nd exit signposted A453, Nottingham.
- After passing through Clifton, continue on the A453 following signs for football and cricket traffic)
- Join the A52 eastbound towards Grantham and carry straight on at the Nottingham Knight Island and the Wheatcroft Island until you reach the Gamston Island.
- Take the first exit onto the A6011 ('Radcliffe Road')
- Continue along the A6011 following the road as it bends to the right and continue over Lady Bay Bridge.
- Follow local signs for matchday parking.

TRAVEL BY TRAIN

Nottingham train station is one mile from the City Ground, approximately a 20 minute walk.  For more information [click here].

MATCH DAY PARKING

Parking at the ground is considerably limited and priority is given to disabled supporters, coaches, players, match and club officials.

If you plan to drive directly to the stadium Nottingham Forest strongly advise that you:

- Look into opportunities for sharing your car journey with others going to the game to help us reduce the number of cars heading to the ground.

- Park in the approved Nottingham Forest FC Car Parks, which are located at:
- Meadow Lane (Notts County Ground) - £3 per car.
- Victoria Embankment - £4 per car and very limited availability
- County Hall (Notts County Council) - £4 per car, £12 per minibus and £20 per coach.
- Cattlemarket Pay & Display - £3 per car
- Lady Bay Sports Ground (Notts Rugby Club) NG2 5AA - £5 per car.

- Do not park on residential streets around West Bridgford, since Controlled Parking Zones and residents parking schemes are enforced on a matchday.

WHAT'S ON?

It's Nottingham Carnival weekend on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 August on the Victoria Embankment just along from the City Ground itself, with a chance for supporters to take in the event before and after the match and secure parking available for £5.00.

This year's theme is 'United Colours of Nottingham Carnival' with Saturday's festivities kicking off at midday and running until 8.00pm.

The day consists of a music festival featuring international, national and local artists across a range of genres including soca, reggae, house, RnB and afrobeats, with BBC Radio 1Xtra supporting and showcasing artists on stage and online.
