Manager Gary Caldwell is delighted to welcome him to the club.
“Kaiyne is someone we are really excited to bring to the club,” he said. “We have been looking at him for some time and been impressed by what we have seen. He is still young but has great potential. He has pace, an eye for goal and we are looking forward to being able to see him develop in a Wigan Athletic shirt.”
London-born Woolery was at Maidstone United as a teenager before being signed by Bolton Wanderers aged 18 in 2013. He subsequently was sent on loan at Tamworth and Notts County before breaking through to the Wanderers first team last season, for whom he played a total of 19 times in the league, scoring twice in five starts.
