Captain Morgan looks ahead to Bury clash.
- Latics host Bury on Saturday at the DW Stadium.
- Captain Craig Morgan hopes Latics can turn around previous results against the Shakers.
- Walsall win 'enhanced the positive environment'.
Latics' captain, Craig Morgan, grabbed the dramatic late equaliser in the club's 2-2 draw with Bury at Gigg Lane in the reverse of this weekend's Sky Bet League One fixture at the DW Stadium, and speaking ahead of the match he said it's time for Latics to prove a point.
"We’ve probably got a point to prove against Bury because they’re a side that have done well against us this season by knocking us out of the FA Cup and Capital One Cup and then holding us to a draw in the league.
"We also have to focus our energy on getting the three points and not get too distracted by what has gone before and treat it as the next game in our run because the teams that produce the best runs of form between now and the end of the season will be promoted. We always work hard and we’ll approach the game in the same way we always do.
"We’re on an 11-game unbeaten run in the league and that replicates our best run this season that we enjoyed between September and December. We are not focusing too much on the length of the run within the group but we know that with each game we remain unbeaten we strengthen our case for promotion, especially when we win matches."
