Having joined the Evo-Stik First Division North side last Friday, goalkeeper Owen Evans was introduced for his debut just a day later, with his temporary side winning 4-1 away at Bamber Bridge.
It wasn't an easy start to Evans' life at Witton Albion, with their hosts scoring from the penalty spot inside the first 10 minutes, but a commanding performance and four goals followed, leaving Evans and his new team 11th in the division on 40 points, just five points outside the play-off places.
NANTWICH TOWN 3 HALESOWEN TOWN 0 - SAM COSGROVE
Sam Cosgrove was introduced as a 61st minute substitute in Nantwich Town's impressive 3-0 victory over Halesowen Town on Saturday, with the striker coming close to opening his Dabbers' account on a number of occasions.
The convincing victory leaves the Cheshire side seventh in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, just three points behind Barwell who occupy with final play-off place.
Cosgrove will be cup tied for Nantwich's FA Trophy clash with Stourbridge on Tuesday due to his involvement earlier in the competition with Chorley FC.
HAMILTON ACADEMICAL 0 DUNDEE UNITED 0 - BILLY MCKAY
Dundee United's troubles at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership remain, after they were held to a 0-0 draw away at Hamilton Academical on Saturday, leaving Billy Mckay's side at the foot of the division on just 14 points, 12 behind Motherwell in the relegation play-off place and 13 behind Kilmarnock in 10th.
Mckay featured for the full 90 minutes on Saturday, but his side couldn't find a way through to what would have been three crucial points.
TORQUAY UNITED P CHESTER FC P - DAN LAVERCOMBE AND DANNY O'BRIEN
Torquay United suffered another postponement at the weekend, with the National League strugglers now bottom of the division on 20 points, with opponents Chester sat 18th on 35 points.
Danny O'Brien joined Chester on loan at the end of last week, but has been made to wait for his debut with the Cheshire side.
KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS 3 MACCLESFIELD TOWN 1 - DANNY WHITEHEAD
Danny Whitehead wasn't involved in Macclesfield Town's 3-1 defeat to Kidderminster Harriers at the weekend, with the Cheshire club downed by the league's second bottom side.
The Silkmen now sit 12th in the National League on 47 points, but just five outside the play-off places.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 2 - EMYR HUWS
Despite Emyr Huws' continued absence through injury, Huddersfield Town collected a well-deserved victory away to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The 2-0 win moved David Wagner's side onto 35 points in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Terriers now 17th in the league table and nine points clear of the relegation zone.
READING 0 BURNLEY 0 - ANDREW TAYLOR
Andrew Taylor was also absent from Sky Bet Championship action on Saturday, with his Reading side also collecting a positive result after a 0-0 draw to high-flying Burnley.
The Royals currently occupy 15th place in the division with 37 points, 11 clear of the relegation zone.
