LOAN REPORT: MCKAY ON TARGET AS DUNDEE UNITED WIN AGAIN

Latics' biggest involvement in the weekend's action took place in the Scottish Premiership, with striker Billy Mckay scoring his 10th league goal of the season as Dundee United recorded their second consecutive victory with a 3-0 win away at Ross County.

United's upturn in form began in their last outing, a 2-1 win against Hearts, and with the 3-0 win adding points to their tally, they now sit on 20 points.  Mixu Paatelainen's side remain bottom of the division, but are now only eight points behind 11th place Kilmarnock and 10 points behind 10th place Hamilton Academical, with a game in hand over both.

MACCLESFIELD TOWN 0 WREXHAM 0 - DANNY WHITEHEAD

Midfielder Danny Whitehead made his return from injury on Saturday afternoon, featuring for 85 minutes in Macclesfield Town's 0-0 draw at home to Wrexham.

The Silkmen currently sit 12th in the National League on 48 points, eight points behind Wrexham in the final play-off place, but with two games in hand.

CHESTER 0 TRANMERE ROVERS 1 - DANNY O'BRIEN

Sticking with the National League, Danny O'Brien featured for 57 minutes in Chester 1-0 derby day defeat to Tranmere Rovers on Sunday, before being replaced by former Latics winger Craig Mahon.

Defeat for Chester leaves them 15th in the division on 39 points, just six clear of the relegation zone.

BOGNOR REGIS TOWN 1 TORQUAY UNITED 0 - DAN LAVERCOMBE

Torquay United and Dan Lavercombe's Wembley dream came to an end on Saturday when they narrowly lost 1-0 away at Bognor Regis Town in the FA Trophy quarter final on Saturday.

Lavercombe played the full 90 minutes, with the Gulls beaten by a Snorre Nilsen goal.

GRIMSBY TOWN 2 WOKING 0 - RYAN JENNINGS

Ryan Jennings wasn't involved for Grimsby Town on Saturday as their FA Trophy run continued with a 2-0 victory over Woking.

NANTWICH TOWN 2 DOVER ATHLETIC 1 - SAM COSGROVE

Sam Cosgrove was cup tied for Nantwich Town's 2-1 victory over Dover Athletic in the FA Trophy.

SPENNYMOOR TOWN 3 WITTON ALBION 0 - OWEN EVANS

Witton Albion suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of third place Spennymoor Town in the Evo-Stik First Division North on Saturday, leaving the Cheshire side 14th in the league table and now 11 points behind the final play-off place occupied by Burscough.

Evans featured for the full 90 minutes.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC 3 READING 4 - ANDREW TAYLOR

Andrew Taylor was not involved for Reading on Saturday, as the Royals edged a dramatic seven-goal thriller to seal a 4-3 victory away at Charlton Athletic.

The victory sees them move up to 12th in the Sky Bet Championship, 12 points behind the final play-off place.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 0 IPSWICH TOWN 1 - EMYR HUWS

Midfielder Emyr Huws remains sidelined with injury, as Huddersfield Town lost 1-0 at home to Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Terriers are currently 16th in the division on 39 points, 10 points above the relegation zone.
