ALTRINCHAM 0 CHESTER 3 - DANNY O'BRIEN
GOAL | Altrincham 0-1 Chester - Danny O'Brien 26 minutes.— Chester FC (@ChesterFC) February 16, 2016
After postponement delayed Danny O'Brien's debut for Chester on Saturday, the wide midfielder was handed his first start for his loan club on Tuesday evening, and within 26 minutes of his maiden appearances he'd found the back of the net for 1-0. Cutting across a ball into the box from the right side, O'Brien crashed a left footed effort beyond the Altrincham goalkeeper as his side got on their way to a 3-0 away victory over their local rivals.
Victory for Chester was cemented by goals from former Latics' youth team defender Ryan Astles and leading goal scorer Ross Hannah. O'Brien featured for 85 minutes on his debut, before being replaced by Ryan Higgins.
Chester moved up to 16th in the National League, eight clear of the relegation zone.
MACCLESFIELD TOWN 0 TORQUAY UNITED 1 - DANNY WHITEHEAD AND DAN LAVERCOMBE
With Danny Whitehead missing from Macclesfield Town's side through injury, it was left to goalkeeper Dan Lavercombe to represent Latics in this FA Trophy clash, as his Torquay United side battled hard to ensure progression in the the quarter finals with a narrow victory.
Nathan Smith's goal was the difference on the night at the Moss Rose, with Lavercombe helping his side along the way with a well-earned clean sheet. Despite their troubles in the National League, the Gulls are flying high in the cup, with a trip to Bognor Regis awaiting them in the next round.
DUNDEE UNITED 0 MOTHERWELL 3 - BILLY MCKAY
Dundee United's woes continued on Tuesday evening with a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to Motherwell. Billy Mckay featured for 56 minutes before being substituted, with his United side still rooted to the bottom of the Scottish Premiership, 13 points behind Kilmarnock in 11th and 14 points behind Partick Thistle in 10th.

Despite being cup-tied due to his involvement in the FA Trophy with Chorley earlier in the season, an honourable mention is given to Sam Cosgrove's loan side Nantwich Town who, like Lavercombe's Torquay, are also into the last eight of the competition thanks to a late goal from Steve Jones.
The Dabbers will host Dover Athletic in the quarter final, with Cosgrove hoping to return to action this weekend when they travel to Hyde United in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
