10 FACTS ABOUT RYAN COLCLOUGH

1. Ryan Colclough was born on 27 December 1994 in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.

2. He progressed through the youth ranks at Crewe Alexandra, before signing a two-year scholarship in the summer of 2011.

3. Colclough made his debut as a second year scholar at Crewe on 22 September 2012 in a 1-1 draw at home to Leyton Orient, aged just 17.

4. His first start came in March 2013 in a 2-1 victory over MK Dons, playing the full 90 minutes alongside former Latics striker Nathan Ellington.

5. The forward scored his first professional goal in a 3-1 defeat away to AFC Bournemouth in January 2013, and has so far scored 12 in the league during his career.

6. On 7 April 2013, Colclough was a second half substitute in Crewe’s 2-0 triumph over Southend United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley Stadium.

7. On 17 August 2013, Colclough scored his first professional brace in a 2-1 home win against Tranmere Rovers, a match in which he faced now Latics midfielder Max Power.

8. Injury frustrated Colclough during the 2014/15 campaign, but he returned with a telling impact, scoring a crucial late winner against Sheffield United and a goal against Coventry City, helping Crewe to survive in League One.

9. Colclough made 60 league appearances for Crewe with 36 starts.  He has made 30 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

10. He featured for Crewe in all three meetings with Latics this season, scoring for the Railwaymen in our 3-2 victory at the Alexandra Stadium in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
