LATICS 2 AMSTERDAM
Latics2A team presented with shirts at half time against Blackpool.
The 13-cyclist team is spear-headed by 2015 riders John Heeley and Peter Mulqueeney, who between them managed to raise almost £6,000, a target they are close to beating this time around, with four months to go until the ride itself!
John, Peter and the rest of the team were presented with limited edition Latics cycling shirts at half time of December's home match against Blackpool, which they'll be wearing to represent the club during the event. On the day the Latics2A team carried out a bucket collection, with Latics supporters helping to raise £650 to go towards their fundraising total.
Peter and John celebrate completing the 2015 ride outside the Amsterdam Arena.
Latics2A are also putting on fundraising events in the build-up to the cycle, with the Black Tie Charity Glitter Ball Dinner Dance set to steal the show on Friday 22 April 2016 in the DW Sports Fitness Lounge at the DW Stadium.
World class entertainment will be on offer in the form of King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys, with the evening being compered by the legendary radio broadcaster Allan Beswick from BBC local radio.
Tickets are priced at just £50 which includes a full dinner. A variety of corporate sponsorship packages are available, ranging from £750 to £1500 per table.
