It was certainly a mixed weekend for Latics' players out on loan across the Football League, non-league and SPFL, with four defeats, two victories and a draw, as well as a debut, a winning return and an injury after just four minutes.
We take a closer look below, starting in the Vanarama National League, with debutant Louis Robles.

Striker Louis Robles made his first appearance for Macclesfield Town on Saturday when he came on as an 80th minute substitute for the Silkmen in a 2-0 defeat to Aldershot Town in the National League.
Midfielder Danny Whitehead completed the full 90 minutes, with defender Adam Anson not involved in the match day squad.
The defeat for Macclesfield leaves them in seventh place, just two points behind fifth place Dover Athletic who occupy the final play-off spot.
TORQUAY UNITED 0 GATESHEAD 2 - DAN LAVERCOMBE
Torquay United's struggle in the National League continued on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat at home to play-off chasers Gateshead.
Dan Lavercombe featured for the full 90 minutes for the Gulls, but couldn't prevent the 2-0 loss, which keeps Torquay 23rd in the table, eight points behind the safety mark.
DOVER ATHLETIC 1 CHELTENHAM TOWN 2 - RYAN JENNINGS
Sunday's action was unfortunate for Ryan Jennings despite his team's 2-1 victory and return to the summit of the National League. Jennings was a 74th minute substitute in Cheltenham Town's win away at Dover Athletic, but the winger only lasted four minutes, before being withdrawn through injury.
After Forest Green Rovers won 1-0 on Saturday, Cheltenham had their work cut out to return to the top, but did so through two late Danny Wright goals to leave them two above their nearest rivals.
DUNDEE UNITED 5 KILMARNOCK 1 - BILLY MCKAY
After an absence on compassionate grounds, striker Billy Mckay made his return to the Dundee United team in style on Saturday, with United hammering 11th place Kilmarnock 5-1 to end a run of nine league matches without a victory.
Mckay played the full 90 minutes at Tannadice and provided the assist for United's fifth goal. Despite the heavy victory, Mckay and his side still lie bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, now 12 points behidn 10th place Hamilton Academical.
LEEDS UNITED 1 BRISTOL CITY 0 - RICHARD O'DONNELL
Bristol City were edged out at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon when they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United. Richard O'Donnell featured for the full 90 minutes.
In the fight to remain in the Sky Bet Championship, City now sit 22nd on 24 points, just one behind 21st place Rotherham United.
BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 2 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 1 - EMYR HUWS
After the chaos of a 5-2 FA Cup replay defeat to fellow Championship side Reading on Tuesday, Huddersfield Town faced their second defeat in a week, as early league front-runners Brighton & Hove Albion continued their recent return to form with a 2-1 win.
Emyr Huws featured for the first 45 minutes before being substituted at half time. The Terriers are now 17th in the table on 32 points, eight clear of the relegation zone.
READING 1 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1 - ANDREW TAYLOR
It was a solid result for Reading on Saturday when they picked up a point at home to play-off hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday in a 1-1 draw. Andrew Taylor was an unused substitute.
The Royals are currently 13th in the division, 11 behind the play-off spots and 11 ahead of the relegation zone.
