Latics brought their pre-season training camp in Portugal to a close on Saturday evening with a 0-0 draw in a behind closed doors friendly against Portuguese Primeira Liga side at Estadio Municipal da Bela Vista.

With a good intensity and competitiveness from both sides, Michael Jacobs went close to giving Latics the lead in the first half.

Braga came close in the second period, but Lee Nicholls stood firm with a couple of solid saves, before the Portuguese side hit the post late on.

Caldwell picked his team as follows:

FIRST HALF: Jaaskelainen, Chow, Morgan, Burn, Warnock, Perkins, Gilbey, Huws, Jacobs, Odelusi, Davies

SECOND HALF: Nicholls, Taylor, Daniels, Hendry, Pearce, Flores, Power, Morsy, Colclough, Wildschut, Mckay

Full time in Portugal and it's finished 0-0. A good 45 minutes for the 22 players involved and they now look ahead to Chester on Wednesday.
