  • Chadwick joins Latics from Blackburn Rovers.
Wigan Athletic are delighted to confirm the appointment of Nick Chadwick as the club’s new Under 18s coach, joining Gregor Rioch’s Academy coaching team this summer ahead of the 2016-17 season.

The former Everton and Plymouth Argyle striker arrives at Christopher Park from Blackburn Rovers, having worked as Under 15s coach at the Lancashire club, as well as experience in the Academy at Everton.

Head of Academy, Rioch welcomed Chadwick to the club, saying:

“Nick’s exactly the kind of coach we’re excited to have on board.  His ideas are very much in line with the philosophy of the club from the first team right through our age groups in the Academy.

“He’s got very good experience for a young coach, and he’s worked at different levels within the structures at Everton and more recently Blackburn, so he’s knowledgeable about the journeys our young players take through the Academy.

“Nick’s been working with the group for the past couple of weeks and we’re making very good progress in being ready for the new season.”
