Purzycki adds three caps to impressive tally, but Poland U19s miss out on Euros.
- Adrian Purzycki represents Poland U19s in all three Elite matches.
- Poland unbeaten in UEFA Euro group, but narrowly knocked out by Netherlands.
- Purzycki featured for the full 90 minutes in a victory and two draws.
Development Squad midfielder Adrian Purzycki continued his impressive progress with Poland's Under 19s, adding three caps to his international tally over the last seven days, which now stands at 19 across the Under 18 and U19 age groups.
Unfortunately for the combative 18-year-old, Poland's UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite Round ended in disappointment, but Purzycki and his team mates performed at a high level, narrowly missing out on qualification for the summer finals in Germany, going unbeaten in their three matches, but finishing two points behind group winners Netherlands.
Purzycki featured for the full 90 minutes in all three fixtures, with Poland opening the group with a 2-1 victory over Northern Ireland last Thursday, before a competitive 0-0 draw with Ukraine on Saturday.
A crunch match to decide the group followed against Netherlands on Tuesday, but another boisterous 0-0 draw saw hosts Netherlands through, with 10-man Poland cruelly eliminated.
