Wigan Athletic can confirm that defender Jack Hendry has joined fellow Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old joins the Greenhous Meadow side ahead of their home meeting with Port Vale on Friday 25 March, having featured three times for Latics this season after joining the club from Scottish Premiership side Partick Thistle in the summer of 2015.
Hendry made his Latics debut in the 3-2 away win in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Crewe Alexandra in October, before featuring in the following two rounds against Blackpool and Barnsley. He has also made nine appearances for the Development Squad.
The defender will not be available for selection for Shrewsbury when Latics visit Greenhous Meadow on Saturday 2 April.
Speaking about Jack's move to Shrewsbury, manager Gary Caldwell said:
"This is a great chance for Jack to get some regular game time and first team football, giving him the opportunity to progress at a very competitive level."
