Latics host Morecambe in their final league fixture of the season on Tuesday afternoon, knowing a victory over the Shrimps would see them secure a second place finish in the Final Third Development League West behind champions Bradford City.
Peter Atherton's side sit fourth on 21 points as it stands behind Shrewsbury Town and Walsall, but a win would lift them above second place Walsall by one point.
Latics met Morecambe in early April to devastating effect when they travelled to the Globe Arena and secured a 7-1 victory courtesy of a Sam Cosgrove hat-trick, Sanmi Odelusi double and two superb strikes from Andy Kellett and Alex Lingard.
The visitors sit bottom of the FTDL West on just 10 points.
