The Wigan Athletic Player of the Year Dinner will be held at the DW Stadium this evening, Wednesday 4 May, including the annual end of season awards to celebrate an unforgettable season which saw Latics promoted at Blackpool on Saturday and could see the team lift the Sky Bet League One title on Sunday 8 May.

The annual event, hosted by Sky Sports’ Peter Stevenson, is the most prestigious in the Wigan Athletic calendar, and promises to be a memorable occasion this season, with eight awards to be presented on the night.

The pinnacle of the evening will, as always, be the crowning of the Player Of The Season, as voted by Wigan Athletic supporters.

Other awards include Players’ Player of the Season, Golden Boot, Goal of the Season (as voted for by supporters online), Community Player of the Season, Away Player of the Season as voted by the Official Supporters Club, Young Player of the Season and the Michael Millett Award for the Under 18s Player of the Season.

The Wigan Athletic first team squad will be present on the night, alongside Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan, chairman David Sharpe, manager Gary Caldwell and his coaching staff and you can follow the presentations live right here on on Latics Wall and across our social media channels on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
