Praise continues for club’s official matchday programme.

  • Club media teams vote Latics in Sky Bet League One’s top five programmes.
  • Widespread praise for Wigan Athletic’s official matchday programme this season.
  • Independent View, Programme Monthly and Soccer Club Swap Shop all give positive marks for Latics’ programme.
Wigan Athletic’s official matchday programme has been voted into the top five for Sky Bet League One in a vote from the media teams of each of the 24 club’s in the division.

The division’s deserved winners were Shrewsbury Town, whilst Millwall, Scunthorpe United and Sheffield United made up the top five.

The recognition for Latics’ programme comes at the end of a season in which the club has received continued praise for its official publication.

Earlier in the campaign, Independent View recognised Latics’ programme as one of the best in the division, stating that the club exceeded its Premier League standards with a programme that showed great transparency into the goings on behind the scenes at the DW Stadium with chief executive Jonathan Jackson’s ‘Diary from the Boardroom’ coming in for particular praise.

Elsewhere, Programme Monthly & Football Collectable praised the clean and stylish look of Latics’ programme and awarded the content with an 8/10 mark and the design 8.5/10.

Soccer Club Swap Shop arguably gave Latics the best recognition as it ranked the programme 14th out of the 92 league clubs, with only Shrewsbury Town, Chesterfield and Doncaster Rovers bettering Latics’ offering from League One – Leicester City winning the overall prize.
