Club mourns death of former goalkeeper Harold Peet

Wigan Athletic have been saddened to hear of the passing of former goalkeeper Harold Peet last week.

Peet made 23 appearances between 1956 and 1959, mostly in the Lancashire Combination. He made his debut in a 3-1 win at Chorley in October 1956, his last first team game coming away against Marine in May 1959.

He later became a committee member for the Supporters Club, and was a member of the past players association.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Harold’s friends and family.
Thanks to Jeff Rourke for the game information
