Community Trust host girls only sessions every Monday evening

Wigan Athletic Community Trust host girls only football sessions at Wigan Youth Zone every Monday night between 5-6pm.

The sessions are an opportunity for girls aged 11-13 to improve their football skills whilst getting involved in physical activity. Players will also get the chance to play matches against teams from Youth Zones across the North West.

With the support of the Premier League, Wigan Athletic Community Trust deliver 12 sessions of girls’ football across Wigan a week, and last year worked with 256 girls.

Wigan Youth Zone aims to provide the best possible experiences and outcomes for young people in a fun, supported, safe, inclusive and positive environment. They ensure that the facility attracts and retains young people from across the borough in order to provide them with a brighter future.

For more information about our girls’ football sessions, which are supported by the Premier League, please contact Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s Girls Football Officer Steph Greensill on

*To take part in these sessions you must be a member of Wigan Youth Zone. Membership costs just £5 for the year and then 50p to come in each time after that.
