TRAVEL: BY CAR
From North, South and East: Exit M6 at junction 31. At the roundabout take the first exit (s/p Preston A59) onto the A59. At mini-roundabout after 1.0 miles, by the Hesketh Arms, take the second exit (s/p Ring road, Blackpool A583, Football Ground) onto the Blackpool Road A5085. Carry straight on for 1.2 miles, then filter left before the lights (s/p Town Centre, Football Ground) into Sir Tom Finney Way. The ground is on the left-hand-side.
Please be aware that most surrounding roads around Deepdale are generally busy in the build up to a match. Blackpool road is the nearest main road to the visitors section; turning left down Parkside (off Deepdale road) and then left again onto Bill Shankly Crescent takes you directly to the away end. Blackpool road is likely to very busy given the game is a Friday night and Deepdale retail park is also on this road so Preston North End advise supporters to get to the ground as early as possible.
TRAVEL: BY RAIL
Check the latest train times on northernrailway.co.uk
From The Railway Station: It is about 1.6 miles from the station to Deepdale. If you catch a taxi from outside the station it will cost approximately £5.00.
By Foot: You should come out of the station and turn left in front of the Fishergate Centre (or turn right if you're leaving the train station by the front exit/entrance), passing The Railway pub. Turn right at the T-junction. The road forks left and becomes Corporation Street, which you should ignore. Instead walk straight down Fishergate - the main shopping thoroughfare - After 0.75 miles the road becomes Church Street - with the Parish church on your right-hand-side. Carry on until you reach the junction with the A6. Cross over the road, the prison will be on your right-hand-side and a demolition site (formerly the County Arms public house) on the left. Turn left so the demolition site is now on your right - this is Deepdale Road. The Ground is on the right-hand-side after 0.75 miles.
By Bus: All buses from the train station go to the bus station. From there, numbers 5, 6 and 19 run a long Deepdale Road. The number 19 is the most frequent, running every five minutes or so. It will cost approximately 80 pence to get to the ground from the bus station but have plenty of change because the bus drivers ask for the exact money. The Soccerbus and Footyrider services, mentioned below, provide direct services to Deepdale on matchdays.
SUPPORTERS CLUB COACHES
Please see the latest important message from Wigan Athletic Supporters Club regarding travel on Friday by [clicking here].
Car Parking & Fees – There is no stadium parking at the ground, the nearest paid for car park is Moor Park School which is around five-minutes walk from the stadium and is priced at £8. This can be paid for on the night subject to availability.
Free parking is available on Moor Park Avenue which not stewarded by Preston North End and can be accessed from Sir Tom Finney Way or Garstang Road. Besides this, parking is limited around the ground due to residents parking etc.
Coach Parking & Fees – Coach parking is free. Coaches will be parked on the road outside the away turnstiles and will remain there throughout the game. Mini buses can also be accommodated in this area but will be parked on a first come first served basis. Once the area outside the turnstiles is full then any other mini buses will have to find their own parking. Stewards will advise accordingly.
Blue Badge Car Parking – We have four accessible parking spaces on the Bill Shankly Kop car park which must be booked in advance. For Friday these must be booked no later than 12pm. Parking is priced at £12.50 which is the price for all stadium parking. These can be booked by calling the ticket office on 0344 856 1966. I am also the disability liaison officer and my contact details can be found in my email signature.
Away friendly pre-match venues – The Sumners is a pub just round the corner from Sainsburys on Watling St Road (5 mins from Deepdale) which welcomes both home and away fans. There are plenty of pubs in the town centre located very close to Preston train station; @PNEPolice will be able to advise on away friendly in the town centre for supporters.
Nearest cash machine – The nearest cash machine is at the ground but this charges £1.99 and is located adjacent to the Sir Tom Finney ticket office/collection windows. There is also a cash machine at Sainsbury's which is just over the road, which does not charge.
Food and drink available near or inside the ground – Deepdale retail park has various fast food outlets. Food inside the ground consists of pies, burgers, hotdogs and snacks. We have also recently introduced a range of sandwiches.
