The Dale's wait to collect their first Sky Bet League One victory of the season was over on Saturday afternoon, thanks to an 85th minute winner from substitute Steve Davies, who arrived on the Spotland pitch just one minute before Latics' Sanmi Odelusi.
Odelusi featured for the final 26 minutes of the contest, as Rochdale jumped above Coventry City into 23rd place on six points from eight games.

Keeping in line with the theme of 'firsts', Andrew Taylor featured for 85 minutes as Bolton Wanderers' unbeaten start to life in League One came to an end at the hands of 10-man Walsall.
The Saddlers lost Joe Edwards after just 16 minutes on Saturday, but managed to hold onto their narrow lead to earn victory. Bolton also ended the game with 10 men following the 94th minute dismissal of Keshi Anderson.
