Midfielder receives second call up of the season.

  • Shaun MacDonald named in Wales squad for World Cup qualifiers.
  • Midfielder's second call up since joining Latics from AFC Bournemouth.
  • Wales set to face Austria and Georgia in October.

Latics midfielder Shaun MacDonald has been named in Chris Coleman's Wales squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Austria and Georgia in October.

The 28-year-old, who has made eight appearances for Latics since joining from AFC Bournemouth, will be looking to add to his four international caps over the coming fixtures, having been an unused substitute in Wales' Group D opener, a 4-0 victory at home to Moldova earlier this month which saw Coleman's side top of the group.
