RYAN COLCLOUGH SPOKE TO LATICS PLAYER HD AFTER COMING ON AT HALF-TIME IN THE NARROW DEFEAT TO NEWCASTLE UNITED AT ST JAMES’ PARK AND IMPRESSING.

ON THE EXPERIENCE OF PLAYING AGAIN
I enjoyed playing here, the stadium, the pitch, it doesn’t really get any better than this and I thought we played really well and deserved something from the game.

G (Graham Barrow) said to me at half-time, come on son, we know what you can do, go and put on a performance.

ON HIS ROLE FOLLOWING INJURY TO OMAR BOGLE
I think Omar’s job is a bit different to what I was asked to do even though I came on for him, we wanted balls down the side to expose their back four and that’s what we did in the second half.

I think we could have taken some chances better, or gambled a bit better but we were unlucky not to get something out of the game.

ON CHANCES CREATED
Crackers’ (Michael Jacobs) goal was a really good finish and mine maybe I should put it on target knowing the keeper could spill it but it’s one of those things, if we can take our chances and play like that until the end of the season there’s no reason why we can’t stay up.

ON ST JAMES’ PARK EXPERIENCE
The stadium leaves no excuses, it shouldn’t phase you, playing here should be like going anywhere in the Championship, the most important thing for me is getting my game time, coming on and enjoying myself and I did that today.

ON THE LATICS SUPPORTERS
The fans are great with me and I’m really grateful for that. They came here and wanted to be entertained and see us play and rather than sit back and let Newcastle play, we had a go today and they appreciated that.
