- Owen Evans part of the Wales U21 squad.
Three Wigan Athletic players have been called up for international duty.
Midfield duo Lee Evans and Sam Morsy have been called up to represent Wales and Egypt respectively whilst goalkeeper Owen Evans is part of Wales’ under-21 side.
Morsy’s Egypt play Uganda away on Thursday 31 August before playing them again at home on Tuesday 5 September.
Wins in both games would take Morsy’s side to within one victory of securing their place at the finals of the 2018 World Cup.
Also trying to qualify for the finals in Russia this summer are Wales, who have called up Latics midfielder Lee Evans following his impressive start to the campaign.
Evans has featured at under-21 level for Wales but is yet to earn a senior cap, albeit he has been selected in squads over the past couple of years.
Chris Coleman’s side face Austria on Saturday 2 September before travelling to Moldova the following Tuesday.
If Wales take anything less than four points from the two fixtures, it is likely their hopes of qualifying for the finals will be over with two further games left to play in October.
Also called for Wales is goalkeeper Owen Evans, who is part of Rob Page’s under-21 squad.
Wales’ under-21s kick-off their U21 European Championship qualifying campaign with matches against Switzerland and Portugal.
