Young Latics supporters will have the chance to test their gaming skills against other fans in the Family Zone during the 2017/18 campaign.

Wigan Athletic’s Family Zone will open for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon when Latics welcome Bury to the DW Stadium – and this year’s it’s bigger and better than ever!
The club have teamed up with GAME to give young Latics supporters the chance to pit their gaming skills against other fans, and even first team players too who will continue to make special appearances at the Family Zone at every weekend home fixture during the 2017/18 campaign.
The Family Zone is completely FREE and opens an hour and a half prior to kick off. Based in the East Stand at the DW Stadium, home and away supporters are welcome to attend, where a host of games and activities ranging from table tennis to pool to speed target gun await the whole family. Snacks and drinks are available to buy and the Community Trust provide free fruit for all junior supporters.
Steve Stretch, GAME Community Development Manager, said: “The Family Zone at Wigan Athletic now gives supporters the chance to sample the latest gaming technology, including PlayStation VR, within a safe and friendly environment at the DW Stadium.
“We are also very proud to be associated with the outstanding work of Wigan Athletic Community Trust, and are excited about further developing the partnership as the season progresses.”
