It was Latics' fourth win from their opening six matches, sparking a run of three consecutive victories without conceding a goal.
Massey opened the scoring one minute before half time when he tapped in Reece James' cross at close quarters, before doubling Latics' lead with 20 minutes to play, driving a low shot beyond Ben Amos from Nathan Byrne's cut back.
Captain Morsy added a third to round of the win three minutes from time when he picked up on a loose ball inside the area to poke the ball home from 12 yards.
