Speaking to iFollow Latics after his side's 2-0 victory at home to Fleetwood Town, Paul Cook shared his delight in what he called the ultimate professional performance.
"It was a great after and we put in a very strong, competent performance, the lads were excellent.
"The conditions got difficult. The pitch is in good condition, but it played difficult because of the changing weather throughout the game.
Fleetwood were a constant threat on the counter attack with the pace they had.
"We had to be patient in our play and our work rate and desire to keep a clean sheet was excellent.
"It was really pleasing to win again, there's a long way to go in this season yet but it's always a good feeling to win at home.
"It's a long campaign, we're delighted with the position we're in and we'll keep working for it."

"I'm delighted for Callum, it's a great moment for him to score his first goal and it's wonderful to see our young lads doing well out on loan."
