WARREN JOYCE SPOKE TO LATICS PLAYER HD AFTER WATCHING HIS SIDE FIGHT OUT A FRUSTRATING DRAW AT HOME TO NOTTINGHAM FOREST

ON THE MATCH
Obviously it was a scrappy game, not a lot of flowing football from either side but we had plenty of opportunities to score. I wouldn’t want to guess how many chances Omar Bogle has had and on another day a couple of them go in.

ON A GOOD START THEN PRESERVING A CLEAN SHEET
I thought we started well and we would have been good value for an early goal for a change, the longer the game went on, it became a hard fought scrap and not any flowing football from either side. It was important to get something out of the game, we certainly didn’t deserve to lose it.

ON MAKING CHANGES
We tried to freshen it up. Callum Connolly has had a spell of games he’s never known before and he’s worked ever so hard. Omar Bogle is another who is working his socks off at a higher league than he’s ever played before so we tried to share the workload a bit today.

ON ALEX GILBEY
Good to see Alex Gilbey back today even though not fully fit, it was good for him to get some minutes on the pitch. We threw him on as a gamble to try and win the game, he’s a decent player but he needs more time.

ON MIKAEL MANDRON
I thought he did well early on, looked bright, showed some good touches. He’s a good young kid but the difference is we’re playing a young kid from Eastleigh and they’re bringing on McCormack on millions as a late substitute. I thought he worked really hard, though, and had some reasonable opportunities and he did well.

ON BLACKBURN ROVERS
It’s another big game but we have all week to prepare now and go again so we can give it everything.
