WIGAN ATHLETIC v NOTTINGHAM FOREST
SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP
SATURDAY 25 FEBRUARY 2017
WARREN JOYCE SPOKE TO LATICS PLAYER HD IN ADVANCE OF THE VIST OF NOTTINGHAM FOREST .
WJ on Gary Brazil
To be fair you know nearly everyone in this league pretty well, so it makes no difference who you come up against really. He’s an old teammate of mine but like I say there’s always some kind of relationship with an opposing manager or staff at every team.
Gary and I both know one and other, and likewise people will know what type of person I am and that I’m desperate to win. I can remember kicking Gary Brazil in a bad tackle when I played for Forest and he was at Fulham, and he was one of my better friends but that’s just the way it is.
WJ on Forest, the first of ‘13 Cup Finals’
I’m probably boring people to death but this game is no different and it’s the same preparation. Each team possesses a different problem but we’ve just got to go about it the way we usually do and dust ourselves down. We’ve had a hard slog of games over the past few weeks and I think it was more a lack of brains really that cost us the other night, and nothing else.
They invested heavily just before the deadline closed so they’ll offer us a different test and there’ll be everything to play for.
WJ on team news
Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of news about Shaun MacDonald and Michael Jacobs at the moment, we’ll look at it today.
WJ on the Latics fans
There was a great atmosphere inside the stadium against Preston last week, and we’re just hoping for something similar tomorrow really because it doesn’t half help the lads. I hope the fans come back and help us get over the line…
