- Kaiyne Woolery moves to Forest Green Rovers on loan.
- Woolery not able to join other EFL club this season due to playing for Bolton Wanderers & Latics.
- Forward has made one substitute appearance for Latics.
The club can confirm that striker Kaiyne Woolery has joined Forest Green Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22 year-old forward signed from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2016 but has only played once for Latics, as a substitute against Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship last month.
Due to starting the season at Bolton, for whom he made one league and two cup appearances, rules prevent him from joining another EFL club for the remainder of this season, so despite several offers from League One, the club have agreed to loan him to the National League promotion contenders.
Latics manager Warren Joyce said: “We feel that Kaiyne needs game time but if he is not able to get any within the EFL, then Forest Green are a great club competing for promotion and hopefully he will enjoy the experience and be able to contribute to their campaign, at the same time as helping in his long-term development.
“We wish him all the best and will be monitoring his progress.”
