Ryan Tunnicliffe has joined Wigan Athletic on loan from Fulham until the end of the season.
It is the second time the 24 year-old former Manchester United midfielder will have been at the club, having played five league matches during a previous loan spell in 2014.
Tunnicliffe is eligible for the Sky Bet Championship match at home to Brentford, tomorrow, where he could make his ‘second debut’ for the club.
Warren Joyce knows the player very well having managed him through the Manchester United Academy as a younger player, and he knows all about his abilities: “Ryan has got a terrific attitude first and foremost,” he said. “He has been educated through the United Academy and he is a player I always thought would do well.
“He has built up considerable experience now in this division and we are confident he can be a really positive influence to the group in the immediate future.”
Having come through the ranks at Old Trafford, Tunnicliffe spent time on loan at Peterborough United, Barnsley and Ipswich Town before he was transferred to Fulham in 2014. He has played 59 league games for the Cottagers, while further loans followed, at Latics, then at Blackburn Rovers in 2015.
