Warren Joyce on Sam Morsy…

“As a former midfielder myself, you look at those little things that go unnoticed which helps the team, and I think he’s an honest lad who reacts to situations well. He’s very much a team player and a lot of the work he does is appreciated by his teammates. He does everything he possibly can to help his team to win football matches.

“There’s a good set of lads here and he fits in well. He’s obviously come back in and has been great around the group. When you make signings it can sometimes be hard to introduce them to different squads and groups, but it’s been a seamless re-entry for him.

Warren Joyce on Burton Albion win…

“There’s been a lot of hard work put into the games since I’ve been at the football club. The wins we’ve picked up recently just give us that belief and it’s important that we don’t drop our standards now. We’ve got to raise the bar because we know we can be competitive against any team in this league.

WJ on Brentford…

“They’re a clever footballing side who have been put together over a while now. They’ve got a good way of playing and are one of the sides tipped for promotion. It’s a different kind of challenge to the one we faced last week but we have to react to it and overcome it.

WJ on injuries…

“There’s one or two niggles so we’ll not know until tomorrow on them, but it was great to see Craig Morgan back in with the group this week. He’s been excellent since I’ve been here and it’s good to have him available to be included in the squad.

WJ on fans…

“The fans have been patient and have obviously been frustrated by things at times, but we have to remember that we all want the same thing here. Everyone has a massive part to play together, and whatever gripes or grumblings some may have, we need everyone at the club to pull in the same way. We’re in a difficult situation but there’s only one way we can get out of it and that’s to fight.
