PC on today’s game
“I thought at times we played some really good stuff but it was just disappointing to concede the goal in the last minute of the game. All in all it was pleasing though.
PC on Nick Powell and Will Grigg
“To get Nick Powell and Will Grigg back out on the pitch was huge for us, and Callum Lang up front was very much a positive. There were some very good performances all round.
“That was Will’s first 45 minutes competitively since March and Nick’s been in and out so we’ve got to be careful how much we give these players at the moment.
“We want to win every game for the club and we’re very competitive as staff and players, but we must make those correct decisions for the team.
PC on Callum Lang
“Callum doesn’t do a lot wrong for us. He’s a young lad who has his head screwed on and he’s prepared to work hard and graft which is great to see.
PC on a difficult week for the club
“It’s been a very difficult week for the club. When clubs are in the position we’re in it’s not healthy but I think the decisions we’ve made will benefit the club going forward.
“I won’t go in to individual players for obvious reasons but the lads haven’t done anything wrong, they haven’t committed crimes, these are just football decisions.
PC on new signings
“I’m sure our fans will be hopeful, like we are, that there’ll be one or two additions into the squad before next Saturday’s game.
