DUNKLEY ON MOVING TO WIGAN ATHLETIC
“It’s a big club who have got really strong players for this division. The club sells itself to me and we all want to get back into the Championship.
DUNKLEY ON HIS STYLE OF PLAY
“I’m a no-nonsense defender who can also get on the ball and play a bit, but first and foremost I do my job and like to think I’m good aerially. I don’t want to big myself up too much though.
DUNKLEY ON PAUL COOK
“I’ve spoken to the new gaffer and he’s someone I’ve obviously come up against when he was in charge of Portsmouth and I was playing for Oxford. He plays attractive football but he also seems like someone who can lift the place and is a real character.
DUNKLEY ON LEAGUE ONE
“The division will be very challenging this season but I’ve played against the majority of the teams in it and I’m up for the test alongside the team.
DUNKLEY ON KNOWING SOME OF LATICS’ PLAYERS
“I know Omar Bogle from my time playing with him for England C and I’m very, very good mates with Sam Morsy. When I was at Crewe I played with Nick Powell and Ryan Colclough who were younger than me at the time, so it’ll be nice to see those guys again and meet new players too.
DUNKLEY ON THE NEXT FEW WEEKS
“I’m just going to get a little break away now and then obviously be focused for pre-season and hit the ground running for the start of the season.
