ACADEMY COACH TO HELP DELIVER COMMUNITY TRUST SOCCER SCHOOLS IN THE ISLE OF MAN

9 March 2017

A total of 47 children have already signed up for this year's soccer schools

Wigan Athletic’s Youth Development Phase Lead Coach Jake Campbell will be visiting the Isle of Man with Community Trust coaches in April to deliver soccer schools to participants.

Easter’s visit will be the sixth time the Community Trust have delivered soccer schools on the island, and a total of 47 children have already signed up for this year’s event.

Taking place at the home of Colby AFC, the soccer schools are open to boys and girls aged 6-14 years old at 10am-3pm from Monday 10th April to Thursday 13th April.

Wes Partington, Sport and Cohesion Manager at Wigan Athletic Community Trust, said: “Jake has a considerable amount of coaching experience and his input during the sessions will be invaluable not only to the children of the Isle of Man, but also to the Trust’s staff too.

He added: “There are a number of exciting young footballers on the island, so it’s a perfect opportunity for Jake to take a look at potential players for the Club’s Academy sides.”
