Latics’ award-winning matchday publication back on sale on Saturday for the visit of the Robins.

  • Feature interview with Alex Gilbey inside this week’s edition.
  • Insightful column from chief executive Jonathan Jackson looks at Championship finances.
  • There’s also an interview with Head of Coaching Andy Welsh, after his move from Sunderland.
Wigan Athletic’s award-winning official matchday programme is back on sale this Saturday for the visit of Bristol City to the DW Stadium.

Alex Gilbey, who opened his Latics account in the reverse fixture with the Robins, is the feature interview and he discusses his recent injury, return to action and career so far.

We also catch up with Head of Coaching Andy Welsh after his arrival from Sunderland last month, and find out more about his career so far.

In a different view to his normal ‘Diary from the Boardroom’, chief executive Jonathan Jackson provides an insight into the finances across the Sky Bet Championship.

There’s also regular contributions from Warren Joyce, captain Stephen Warnock, the BBC’s Wigan Athletic reporter Paul Rowley and long-time fan Jeff Rourke.

Under-18s defender Tylor Golden features in the academy section whilst there also more on Wigan Athletic’s Community Trust winning the EFL Northwest Community Club of the Year award.

‘Off the Mark In…’, ‘Don’t I Know You?’ and ‘Got it Covered’ are all interesting features and there’s also an in depth look at a classic match with our opponents, with this weekend’s game being the 2-1 win over the Robins on their first visit to the JJB Stadium in 1999.

All of this and more is available inside your official Wigan Athletic matchday programme, on sale from sellers outside the DW Stadium on matchday for £3 or online by clicking here.
