Community Trust were crowned North West Checkatrade Community Club of the Year by the EFL

It was a successful month for Wigan Athletic Community Trust in February as they were named North West Checkatrade Community Club of the Year by the EFL.


Pathway 2 Participation, a mentoring programme for 12-19 year olds, was highlighted as an example of good practice by the judging panel, with the overall winner being named at the EFL Awards evening on Sunday 9th April 2017.


Elsewhere, Dan Burn and Stephen Warnock visited Garswood Primary School for a Premier League Primary Stars session, whilst the club’s academy squad showed their support for Football v Homophobia at an educational workshop at Christopher Park.
