GRAHAM BARROW SPOKE TO LATICS PLAYER HD AFTER FINAL DAY DRAW AT HOME TO LEEDS UNITED

ON THE PERFORMANCE
It was a good performance against a good side, probably the best team we’ve played in recent games and we had to dig in at times but we also had chances to win it.

We had the same set up as last week, but we changed that after the goal because they were hurting us a bit and we to grips with the game. In the second half they came out as if they had something to play for, Garry must have stoked them up, we didn’t deal with that and they forced the penalty but after that I thought it was pretty even stevens and in fact we probably had the better chances with Omar.

ON THE PENALTY
The lads were disappointed with it and in fairness I wasn’t close enough to say but I thought we did enough later on to win it.

ON CREATING CHANCES
In the first couple of games I took over, we were pleased up to a point with the performances but there still wasn’t enough in terms of scoring goals. We built from there and from the run of games I’ve had there’s really only the mistakes at Ipswich that really disappointed me. I have to thank the lads for their work ethic but it wasn’t quite enough in the end.

ON CALLUM LANG
I had to apologise to him because the plan was to get him on the pitch and it was difficult the way the game panned out, we had good attacking options on the bench and I’m not saying he wouldn’t have scored the winner, but I made the choice to play Ryan. He has a bright future.

ON THE SUPPORTERS
I’m sure the supporters will be back in August. This and above is the level you want to be for the challenge but I get that supporters want to see their team win. It’s not a good thing that we’ve been a yo-yo team, but it’s a good thing that we know what it takes to win in League One, it can be a good experience but it’s only one that we want for 12 months.
