JOSEPH’S GOAL PRESENTS:
LATICS LEGENDS v DE ZEEUW’S DUTCH MASTERS
ASHTON TOWN FC
EDGE GREEN STREET
FRIDAY, MAY 19, 7.30PM
£10 adults, £5 concessions, Under-6s free.

Latics legends from across the generations will unite on one pitch later this month when they face fellow Latics legend Arjan De Zeeuw and his team of Dutch stars - in aid of Joseph’s Goal.

The original ‘Three Amigos’ - Roberto Martinez, Jesus Seba and Isidro Diaz - will be back on the same playing field for the first time in over two decades, Wigan’s favourite Austrian Paul Scharner is back in town alongside FA Cup-winning captain Emmerson Boyce, while Nathan 'Duke' Ellington could form a dream partnership up front with Graeme Jones, Graeme Lancashire or 'Super' Stuart Barlow.

Graham Barrow will be in charge from the touchline, but has also threatened to don his boots and line up in the engine room alongside newly-appointed Port Vale manager Michael Brown, while the likes of Peter Atherton, John Doolan, Nicky Eaden, Jason Jarrett, Ian Kilford and Kevin Sharp have also committed themselves to the match – with more names to be confirmed in the coming week.

Facing them will be Arjan De Zeeuw, who has assembled a great line-up of his countrymen, including Sander Westerveld and Jan Kromkamp (ex-Liverpool), Kiki Musampa and Michel Vonk (ex-Manchester City), Glenn Helder (ex-Arsenal), Ken Monkou (ex-Chelsea), Gerald Sibon (ex-Sheffield Wednesday) and Michael Mols (ex-Rangers).

Arjan has also invited along special guest Angelos Charisteas (ex-Ajax), who shocked the footballing world by scoring the winning goal for Greece at Euro 2004 against Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal!

This is the third time the Joseph’s Goal match has taken place, and both previous occasions have proved to be superb occasions and a brilliant trip down Memory Lane.

Joseph’s Goal is the charity named after local 8-year-old boy Joseph Kendrick, who is affected by NKH, (Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia), a very rare life-limiting genetic disorder.

All proceeds will go to funding vital research into the condition.

Tickets on sale from www.wiganlatics.co.uk/tickets, by ringing 0871 66 33 552 or by visiting the DW Stadium ticket office.
