PRAISE FROM GARTH CROOKS, LISA NANDY MP AND KICK IT OUT’S ROISIN WOOD FOR WIGAN ATHLETIC

On a proud day for Wigan Athletic, notable names come out in praise for the club’s commitment to equality and diversity.

A number of advocates of equality and diversity promotion within organisations heaped praise on Wigan Athletic.

“Wigan Athletic have shown considerable commitment to, and enthusiasm for, furthering equality and diversity throughout their club’s operations.

“They have worked extremely hard to meet the challenging requirements of the Intermediate Level of the Premier League Equality Standard and impressed the independent panel with some excellent work to increase participation among under-represented groups.

“On behalf of the Panel I would like to extend our congratulations to Wigan Athletic on their achievement.” Garth Crooks, Chair of the independent Premier League Equality Standard Panel.
