MICHAEL JACOBS’ CRACKER NOMINATED FOR SKY BET’S SEPTEMBER GOAL OF THE MONTH AWARD

Wigan Athletic forward Michael Jacobs has been nominated for September’s Sky Bet Goal of the Month award.

Jacobs’ cracker against his former club Northampton Town received the nomination for the award.

Crackers’ goal is up against Devante Cole’s strike for Fleetwood Town at Portsmouth and Tony McMahon’s free-kick for Bradford City at Northampton Town.

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com.

Voting closes on Tuesday 10 October with winners announced on Friday 13 October.

The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter. 

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager David Tweed and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.
