Paul Cook on Blackburn match...

“It’s a great game to look forward to and obviously has the makings of a derby match as such. Both teams were relegated last season and both are looking to get back up to the Championship as soon as possible. There’ll be two good football teams on show.

“Every team should be respected on their merits and Blackburn come with the same type of pedigree as ourselves in this division. They will be deemed a big scalp and will have their own problems as they go along, and that’s for Tony and his staff to deal with.

Paul Cook on Tuesday night's win over Middlesbrough...

“We knew the lads that played on Tuesday night were good players, and the attitude of the first team lads that were involved was absolutely excellent. It was a good night for us as a club.

Paul Cook on Will Grigg...

“Will’s a lot better than what we actually thought which is pleasing. Saturday’s game will come just a little too soon for him, but he should be training with us again next week and comes into contention for the game against Crawley.

Paul Cook on Blackburn-Burnley connection...

“I don’t think the Blackburn fans will remember me playing for Burnley, so they’ll do well to give me some stick.

"These games are good for people though and supporters look forward to big games. It’s got the makings of a good game and both sets of fans will be excited for it. We’ll just do what we can to get the correct result for us."
