11-year-old William Armstrong from Haigh normally come to the matches at the DW Stadium with his two friends Charlie Goldsmith and Isaac Leonard.

However, thanks to #LaticsOpenDay and Westwood Vehicle Solutions, he will enjoy a special day on Saturday when Southend United visit the DW Stadium - following Chairman David Sharpe for the day, enjoying boardroom hospitality with VIP guests and speaking to the manager and players before the game! A true once in a lifetime experience.

Chris Melling, of club partner Westwood Vehicle Solutions, who were a key sponsor at #LaticsOpenDay is delighted William can enjoy such a special Saturday!

"It's great that the club put on such a fantastic event back in August and the fact William is going to have such a special day is wonderful," Chris said.

"We have been supporters of the club for years and know how close the club holds the community to its heart and I know more is going on behind the scenes to provide such special days, especially for our young supporters."

William has penned his programme notes for the game and you can read them in Saturday's edition by picking up a copy from outside the ground for just £3.

You may remember Chris' daughter Lydia created a number of keyrings in support of the Love Manchester Fund - these keyrings are on sale at the DW on Saturday too. Buy from the main reception! More details here.
