Assistant manager Leam Richardson was delighted with the result if not with every aspect of the performance after watching Latics come away with the points at the DW

LR ON THE RESULT
The result is fantastic, three points on the board, the performance after travelling back from Charlton in parts we looked a little bit leggy but fair play to Bristol I thought they had good energybut we’re happy with our quality and our goals in the end.

LR ON BRISTOL ROVERS
They’ve got some good players, a top management team and they’ll get up and running quickly, they caused us a few problems with 11 men, with 10 men and nothing’s a given, we had to  work hard for that result, the 3-0 probably doesn’t reflect that and we’re made up with the points.

LR ON NICK POWELL
He has the quality, doesn’t he. Crackers won it really well, he got in behind and Powelly finished it really well. We’re in tomorrow, pick up any problems we have and hopefully go again Tuesday.

LR ON WILL GRIGG
Listen, Griggy will score goals, there’s never any worry about that, the only surprise is that it took him so long today, he’ll be fine, he’s a goalscorer.

LR ON GAVIN MASSEY
Gavin works so hard and he probably deserved the goal on the strength of that alone but we’re made up for him again.

LR ON THE CLEAN SHEET AND THE PENALTY SAVE
They were a threat on the counter, they created chances and they’ve got some good players on the pitch but then Jamie makes the penalty save, top class and I though the lads managed the game well in the end.

LR ON A BUSY PERIOD
It’s a busy month, the lads know that, we’re in every day and it’s about preparation and freshness because we’ve got a different challenge every other day almost, but the lads are on with it, on the back of today. We’ve got another game Tuesday and we’re in tomorrow, we’ll dust ourselves down and hopefully get another good result.
